Manifesto
“Millions of eyes, I knew, had gazed at this landscape and for me it was the first smile of the sky “
Albert Camus. Wedding
The Mediterranean, again and again.
Let’s close our eyes and let the memories rise: Italian ocher, sand from the Maghreb, summer torpor behind the shutters, bustle of crowded beaches and over owing markets, family reunions and friendly encounters, intoxicating scents of anise and haunting odors of spice...
There are as many kinds of Mediterranean, as there are people growing up close to her or fascinated by her. The Mediterranean is a source of inspiration to photographers who always come back to it.
Sensual, she is both the gateway to the East and the strait of the West. Maternal, she comforts and awakens memories of an often happy and light-hearted childhood.
Since the antic myths until today, yet everyone knows that her light is inextricably linked to her shadows and to what she is hiding.
By playing on formats, colors and memories, it is the radiant Mediterranean that is being depicted today. This exhibition is an invitation to let yourself be transported by an authentic and diverse Mediterranean through 22 analog fragments.
Mère Méditerranée is the first exhibition of the neo-gallery The Analog Club which aims to promote talented photographers who are passionate about analog photography.
