Joséphine Vallé Franceschi
Joséphine Vallé Franceschi lives and works in Paris. Her photographs are taken from her taste for cinema, a field in which she worked as a reader and then as a young director. In her photographs, you can recognize the colors of Italy, where she lived between 2011 and 2013. She is currently showcasing her solo exhibition L’Estate Mancata at the Valencian gallery, in Puglia - Italy.
Her vision of the Mediterranean
"I am inspired by Corsica, my hometown, the landscapes of Antonioni’s films, the vanilla smell of hot sand, the tanned complexion of Cécile in Bonjour Tristesse, the Hockney pools or even the memory of the upcoming summer."
Her photographic orgasm
"Each shot of Visconti’s Cheetah film that he composes like paintings. I very often look to break with the presupposed realism of photography to get as close as I can from painting."
